Shared Access announces 5G upgrade at Aviva Stadium, Dublin

Shared Access, an owner and operator of shared wireless infrastructure, is pleased to announce the completion of a 5G upgrade to its Distributed Antenna System (DAS) at Dublin’s iconic Aviva Stadium

The enhanced system now delivers 5G connectivity for all three Irish mobile network operators – Three Ireland, Vodafone and eir. This upgrade ensures fans and visitors benefit from significantly improved mobile performance, coverage and capacity.

Aviva Stadium’s 5G system completion follows Shared Access’s state-of-the-art 5G  deployment at Dundrum Town Centre in late 2024.

Working in partnership with Vodafone, Three Ireland and eir, Shared Access designed and installed dedicated 5G equipment, complementing the existing 2G, 3G and 4G infrastructure.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, Shared Access also integrated a VoltServer digital electricity solution into the upgrade – improving energy efficiency and reducing the long-term environmental impact of the system.

The 5G system will be live on 27th June 2025, ensuring concertgoers attending Dua Lipa’s show enjoy seamless mobile connectivity throughout their experience at the world-class Aviva Stadium.
