Delivery of exemplar in-building mobile connectivity for one of the UK and Ireland’s leading property consultancies.

The Challenge

1 Causeway Park is a market leading, contemporary Grade A sustainable office building situated on a prominent business park in Staines-upon-Thames.

Offering high quality office space and amenities, this impressive building was designed by Arup, a leading top ten architectural firm, to meet strict energy performance criteria across all areas.

A common problem with modern office buildings that use energy-efficient materials such as higher quality insulation and new styles of glass, is that internal mobile phone signals can be compromised.

XLB wanted to find a solution to deliver flawless mobile connectivity on all four mobile networks throughout the building. This would ensure the building delivered a peerless experience for its tenants.

The Solution

Managing agents Lambert Smith Hampton approached us to provide a top of the range mobile connectivity solution for the building. 

We designed an in-building multi-operator repeater system to amplify and rebroadcast cellular mobile signals from all four networks to all parts of the building.

Installation and commission of the system was discrete and non-disruptive to those tenants already in the building – and was completed in just three weeks.

The Result

The provision of mobile connectivity at 1 Causeway Park has delivered a flawless mobile signal as well as significantly improved data rates and speeds throughout the building. 

No matter what network they’re on, tenants and visitors are assured of a robust mobile signal as they move between the multi storey car park, reception area and business lounge, communal café, informal meeting spaces and main offices. 

Shared Access designed, installed and fully funded the project upfront and we provide ongoing monitoring, maintenance and support of the site in partnership with the four mobile network operators.
